The numbers are in – This year, the CFSV is committed to investing over $196,000 in our community through community grants, scholarships, bursaries, and directed giving.

The CFSV funds community projects through the invested proceeds of donations. The interest earned is then used to support local charities. The principal is never touched. That principal, your donation, creates a legacy of ongoing benefits with the Swan River Valley being the sole beneficiary.

A permanent endowment fund with the Community Foundation has an objective of distributing a minimum 5% each year. With the generosity of this community our endowment fund has grown to a value of over $4 million, allowing over $196,000 to be gifted back to our community in 2023, increasing our total giving to over $1.3 million by the end of 2023.
