The Community Foundation of Swan Valley (CFSV) held their AGM and Fall Granting Night on December 6, 2023. The 2023 fall grants were awarded to local community projects followed by presentation of Donor Advised Fund and Designated Fund annual payouts.
Kyla Tibbett of PKHC Chartered Accountants was invited forward and gave a brief consolidated financial summary prior to the grant portion of the evening.
The CFSV supports all aspects of life in the Swan Valley, making grants to a wide variety of charitable projects. In 2023, the CFSV distributed just under $200,000 in grants, scholarships, and bursaries. The CFSV offers congratulations to all of this year’s fall grant recipients.

$5,000 Swan River Nursery School - Air Conditioning installation
$15,000 North Mountain Riders - Warm-up Shelter construction
$3,000 Benito Vesselli Dance Club - Costumes purchase
$2,000 Swan Valley Animal Protection League Inc. - Phase 5-Outdoor Pens
$3,500 S R & District Community Resource Council Inc. - Swan River Lifeline upgrades
$1,500 SVRSS – Boys’ Baseball Uniform & Equipment
$2,000 North-West Regional Library – Gate installation and office furnishings purchase
$2,000 Town of Swan River Recreation Dept. – Aquatic Centre Safety Equipment
$20,000 Thunderhill Ski Club Inc. – Thunderhill Lodge & Trail Network (payment #3)
