Now is the time to help our community flourish forever! The Community Foundation of Swan Valley (CFSV) encourages the community to make a gift between Nov. 13 – 19 as part of the Endow Manitoba Giving Challenge.
This exciting initiative provides a unique opportunity for individuals to make a meaningful impact on our community by contributing to the CFSV unrestricted fund. For every $5 donated, the Winnipeg Foundation and the Manitoba government will each contribute an additional $1, making every $5 worth $7 to a maximum of $4,000 for our Foundation. This contribution is a testament to the belief that together, we can achieve more. It amplifies the power of community support, making it even easier to create a lasting legacy for the Swan Valley.
Donating to the CFSV during the Endow Manitoba Giving Challenge is not just about making a financial contribution, it’s about investing in the future of our community.Your support goes beyond the immediate moment; it ensures that our community will continue to thrive and grow for generations to come.
Donations to a community foundation are pooled and permanently invested. Gifts are never spent and the money will always stay in the community. Every year, these investments generate money that is distributed to support local charitable needs, providing support that lasts forever.
The CFSV supports all aspects of life in the Swan Valley, making grants to a wide variety of worthy causes – from daycares to seniors’ homes, scholarships to school improvements, food banks to fitness, and so much more. By the end of 2023 the CFSV will have granted over 1.4 million to local projects, bursaries and scholarships throughout the Swan Valley. This was made possible thanks to generous gifts from local donors.
The CFSV welcomes gifts at any time of the year, but giving between Nov 13-19 means extra support.
As always, there are several ways to give to the Community Foundation of Swan Valley. You can write a check, send an e-transfer or donate online through our website CFSV.ca or EndowMB.org. For questions regarding the Giving Challenge, please call 204·734·9129.
